Klinisch Psycholoog - Psychotherapeut - Doctor in de Psychologie

dr. Aisha Cortoos werkte jarenlang als slaappsycholoog in de slaapeenheid van het UZ Brussel. Samen met haar collega’s uit Antwerpen en Leuven, en in samenwerking met de Belgian Association for Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine (BASS), gaf zij vorm aan het Belgische landschap voor de behandeling van slapeloosheid.

Als postdoctoraal onderzoeker werkte ze samen met de Koninklijke Militaire School (KMS) op projecten rond slaap, vermoeidheid en prestatie. Ze is vrijwillig wetenschappelijk medewerker aan de VUB (Human Physiology and Sports Physiotherapy Research Group - MFYS), aan de KMS (Vital Signs and Performance - VIPER) en geeft ook les voor opleidingen van de BASS. Zij is auteur van verschillende internationale en nationale publicaties in tijdschriften en naslagwerken. Zij geeft lezingen en workshops in bedrijven en voor andere zorgverleners, en begeleidt cliënten met slaapproblemen, stressklachten, aanslepende vermoeidheid en burnout.
