Sometimes choosing to start psychotherapy can be interesting, especially when in-depth knowledge and understanding about certain issues are required for optimal behavioral change. Psychotherapy can be regarded as the ultimate way of slowing down, where we take time for introspection and look at ourselves and our different contexts.
As a psychotherapist I mainly work from a systemic and collaborative framework, were everyone is approached with respect for its background and context. The collaboration can be characterized by an exploratory and supportive style, or rather a structured, solution-focused style, depending on the goal and demand of the client. This can also evolve and change along the way.
Furthermore, I am also specialized in couples therapy, where I use the framework of 'Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy' (EFT), an evidence-based approach.
